An Australian Perspective
Reflections on the death of an American from the SMH webdiary.
This perspective appeals to me, because I agree with much of its views on Australia, the US, and the war in Iraq and all that has happened in the world the last three years.
Agree or disagree, sometimes it's just as important to understand why the other side holds their POV (even if only being able to comprehend a fragment of it) and accept that their opinions have reasons and those reasons make sense - at least to them.

Sure, I can accept that they have their reasons... glory glory, death to the infidels, brainwashing and fundamentalism, yadda yadda. That doesn't mean they're not evil bastards.

We have our own crazy religious fanatics and they're in our White House right now. While they're not beheading people on tv, they're still pretty scary in their own right.
