It's that time of the month…

And this post is almost certainly TMI.

Oh, great-and-powerful tampon gods,

We thank thee for thy cotton absorbence in times of bleeding,
For thy beneficience and protection against red-spotted panties in times of abdominal cramp and short tempers.
We pray grace for our foremothers who had to make do with rags and panty-liners,
And for our daughters who will follow behind us in our footsteps.

Forever and ever,
Amen.

Seriously, how did our foremothers survive before the advent of the tampon?

Tampons are quite useful, but I must say that some ethnic groups that had the idea that women were unclean during their periods and had to go into seclusion? I could really go for five days of rest & relaxation once a month. ;)

The bit that I like the most though is when they have quotes "So good that I forget I have my period"... Yeah, if it weren't for the bitchy mood swings and cramping pain, lol! It does, however, sound really good...

Heh. I've always got bitchy mood swings. But I could do without the cramping pain... ;)
