another christmas season has passed

It's back to work tomorrow, hopefully with something to do, although I'm not sure about that. If all else fails, I'll take the laptop with me and do some writing. (Did that surprise anyone? No? I didn't think so.)

Personally, my Christmas was quiet, rather like my life these last few months. The people reading this bear the brunt of my ups and downs and highs and lows, and you do real well with it, too! I'll try to post more about the highs and not just the lows. The highs generally come in the form of my writing, and I put them up on my writing journal rather than here. You're all getting gypped! *g*

My cousin avoided the tsunami with luck and God watching over him, my parents have offered the chance to put some money in with them for the tsunami appeal - we're going with Oxfam, I suspect, which I rather quite like.

New Year's was equally quiet. I slept it through, quite happily. Woke up the next morning to a couple of text messages and a chatroom full of folks.

The twelve days of ficmas has been...interesting. And challenging, to get something up for every day. Most of the fics I've posted weren't even finished when I began it - so much of what you've read has been done in the last couple of days. I was planning to use shorter fics, but the muse conspired against me! Three days left to go, and I think we're okay, though.

Thanks to the mysterious icon-giver, coltsbane, I have 50 icon slots for the next couple of months, and only 18 icons so far. Woe is me! I'm creating and poaching just as fast as I can, but I don't think it's quite fast enough! Anyway, GIP! And if I can remember who were the people I was thinking of, I'll have an icon for you in a couple of days, Ang. :)
