Someone I respect very highly in one of my fandoms sent me feedback about a story I wrote. I hadn't intended to continue the story, but her encouragement is seriously making me rethink, to the point where I'm plotting out ideas again.

Feedback does make a difference.

(And I'd probably send more feedback if I read more fic.)

BSG BETA WANTED: A gen-oriented beta with a preference for Lee- and/or Kara-centered stories, not always shippy, fluffy, or with a happy ending.

Ideally, I'd like a beta (or couple of betas) for all my BSG fanfic, so it would help if you're willing to read non- Lee&Kara centered stories and have a good grasp of the characters and interactions.

Must be willing to tell me their opinion directly but politely. I may disagree, but if I'm not given an alternative, then I'll never write differently.

Another disclaimer. I don't care who you like or what you ship. You don't like what I like? What a surprise. It shows that we're two different people. But if you're on my f-list and I've asked you not to bitch about something I like every time the topic comes up in conversation, I appreciate it when you have some concern for my sensibilities. I'll return the favour if you ask it.

That said, we'll get onto the ship that maybe two people on my f-list sail. Possibly. On a really good day.
