Happy Chinese New Year!
Jan. 29th, 2006 06:37 pmKung Hei Faat Choi! Happy Chinese New Year!
The four-day weekend is gone, I know not where. And, judging by a somewhat garbled conversation I had with an agent while I was in Sydney, I may very well finish up here mid-March and find myself moving straight to Brisbane.
The M7 Orbital Road through Sydney is a wonderful, wonderful thing! 40km of gently-curving motorway, it costs me $7 in tolls, but saves me another 40 minutes driving, 40 minutes worth of stopping and starting, and 40 minutes of frustration at driving in Sydney.
Of course, 3 hours of country driving gets hypnotic after a while. I nearly dozed off at the wheel several times. As it is, I'm kinda tired right now c/o going to bed at 2am, being woken by the phone at 6am, and only managing to doze until 9am.
If you're privy to my writing journal, when you get a chance, please go and read the excerpt I posted and let me know your thoughts. I really would appreciate input on this - first impressions, etc.
Okay, I think some dinner is in order, then a squidge of writing, then sleep.
