SUMMARY: Her boots pinch.
NOTES: 200 words, written at lunchtime, from a chatroom prompt of "bats and diana in the wild west, the boots dont' fit and he offers to rub her feet or something."

On the off-chance that you read this:

The stepfather has managed to flood the kitchen because he didn't know where the water mains are and I suspect he was trying to connect the dishwasher.

You might like to call home and check how things are? Maybe call around 2:30pm or so, because I imagine he has his hands full.

ETA - 2:08 (mostly for the f-list): We seem to have gotten lucky. Having pointed him to the water mains tap, he's come back to the kitchen to discover that the water is draining away beneath the house and not into the garage where all their furniture is stored.
