Pirates of the Carribean II, and Battlestar Galactica

I finally saw Pirates II last night. Enjoyable, fascinating themes, interesting setup of relationships, Orlando Bloom's acting is getting a little better - I didn't feel like he was coasting along on that pretty face of his, and ye unfinished ending. Bill Nighy rawks. I just need to say that, even if I didn't work out who he was until the credits rolled.

I know that at least two, maybe three people on my f-list have big meta-y essays about Pirates II - I saw it on the f-list back when it first came out in the US. If you had something to say about Pirates II, including meta, I'd love to get the link. (This is the down side of seeing movies waaaaaaay after everyone else in the known universe - a bad habit of mine. I want to read other people's opinions, but they're skip=1000 on my flist.)

I've just realised, I'll be in the US when the first episode of Season Three Battlestar Galactica screens. Which means I bloody well have to catch up before I get over there - I'm still back at mid-season two: Flight Of The Phoenix.

Hah. And, of course, BSG 3.01 will probably be another cliffhanger-y type of episode.

So tired. Was out until 1am last night. Unfortunately, this household moves early, even on Saturdays. It's just gone 9am, and I think it's just me and the three cats. It depends on whether the stepbrother came back from his gf's place last night.
