Ghost Rider
Feb. 27th, 2007 10:43 pmI'll never understand how Marvel can come out with such awesome movies as the X-Men and Spiderman series, and then such complete clunkers as Daredevil, Electra, and Ghost Rider.
( bad plot, bad acting, bad exposition...the badness - it burns us, precious! )
After we got out of the movie, I railed about the movie to my companion. He good-humouredly observed, "You have trouble just accepting the stupidity and laughing at it, don't you?" To which I noted that the things that I watch uncritically are those that I don't feel a need to criticise - that hit my buttons and work for me.
I could have written a better script for this movie without reading the books, in a week of menstrual cramps without medication, and with my cat nagging at me to feed her every five minutes.
*sigh*
This is why going to see movies based on the coolness of the trailers is a really bad idea.
And I might have to sleep with the light on for a couple of nights. My horror imagination is very good.
