After the last quilting post, I had an issue with the colour contrast of the quilt - it was just too strong and overwhelmed the more delicate pattern.

Cue a hunt for a material that wouldn't overwhelm the very cool 'autumn' pattern in a Jacob's Ladder pattern.

I found a material that was a little less busy but in a complementary colour and it seems to be working okay!

The reason it's all higgledy-piggledy right now is because I'm just putting together the blocks as I need them right now, so I don't end up with too many.

I'll try to get the rest of the blocks put together in the next couple of hours (mostly the chequer blocks, the triangles are all done) and that'll leave tomorrow for sewing the front together!

All the blocks are done and the layout's set!

Now I just have to sew it all together, work out what the borders are going to be (and if I'm going to have any border at all), find a sheet for the backing, batting for the stuffing, and someone who has a machine quilter thingy that I could possibly use to quilt the damn thing, because there's no way my cheapie 'made-in-china' sewing machine is up to the job of quilting this!
