yuletide...wow...

Okay, so I just spent large portions of the last three days writing Yuletide pinch-hits and treats.

Dude. That was fun! Even if my recipients aren't all that enamoured of my fic (all the sex has been happening in another story I'm writing), I'm happy with having written all three. I'd like to do a fourth, except that now it is 1:30am on Christmas morning and I'm due to help out with Christmas-At-The-Parentals in about 8 hours... Ooh, that's gonna hurt...

Merry Christmas to all the people reading this, and I hope that you survive your partners, children, families, inlaws, allergies, and weather, and still manage to have a good day!

Christmas Day

For me and mine, it was a good day. But then, it always is.

Twenty people in the house, and only one that I was worried about - my uncle's wife who is in the middle of separation/divorce proceedings with my uncle (he initiated the proceedings) and who has been trying to persuade members of the family to take sides for months. It worked out, though, no scenes, although I have to meet her for lunch next Thursday. I'll survive it, while feeling vaguely uncomfortable at her sweetly pointed attempts to make me side with her against my uncle. Oh well. This kind of family I can live with, at least!
