I think I'll probably survive. :)
It's a nice office, took me less than half an hour to drive there at 9am and less than half an hour to drive home at 6pm. However, I'm hoping my standard hours will be a little earlier than those - start at 8am finish at 5pm, looks like - which puts me smack bang in the middle of peakhour. *sigh* I asked about starting at 7:30 and finishing 4:30, the answer was not encouraging.
The three downers as far as the job goes (and they're less to do with the job and more to do with the perks) are:
1. All social networking sites are blocked.
2. All personal webmail sites are blocked.
3. They prefer us to work late hours than early hours.
Otherwise, the work seems interesting, although I'm going to find myself managing some "offshore personnel" in the first six months - by which they mean they'll assign people to me and I have to find them work. Management! ARGH!
Still, it seemed okay, even if I have information overload from the first day...

Have fun at the polls, Americans!
