Okay, so, the Australian Govt is trying to push through a stimulus package. Has pushed through? My mental timelines are all over the shop. I think it's through. After they did a dealie with Senator Xenophon who wanted $90bn for the Murray-Darling area.

Anyway the Opposition is (was) trying to oppose it, all the while blathering about how it's misspent, how it'll never work, how they'd do this or that or the other instead and it would be so much better, how we're putting our children and our children's children's children into OMG UNSPEAKABLE DEPTHS OF DEBT FROM WHICH THEY WILL NEVER RECOVER.

You know, some of their blather may very well be correct. It's still blather as far as I'm concerned.

Because all I'm hearing beneath the blah-blah-blah is:

"We didn't think of it first (and aren't in a position of power to implement this stimulus package), so it sucks!

If we'd thought of it first (or if we were in power and putting this together), then it would be the Greatest Plan Evah(tm) and totally not fiscally irresponsible!!oneoneeleventy!1!"

Plus, Malcolm Turnbull has Twitter, so he'd definitely use the oneoneeleventy to make his point. I'mjustsayin...
