gimme that ballot and show me the money!
Nov. 2nd, 2010 01:08 pmI hope the Americans are going to vote tomorrow. The point isn't whether or not it's making a difference to the vote in your state, the point is that you are exercising your right to have a say in the governing of your country.
Me? I dislike having to vote when the elections come around, but I do. And I would even if they weren't compulsory. Mind you, that's pure ornery with one part self-interest: it's my vote and I am going to cast it rather than cede it to the political fanatic next door (who happens to be my stepfather), thank you very much.
In Australian news, I won $50 in the Melbourne Cup office sweeps. w00t! First time I won anything in office sweeps!
