Grade A Trial Game

Played the trial game on Sunday for A-grade in 30C heat. Breathing was an effort, and there were no subs. It was pretty much full-bore running straight for the 70 mins of the game.

It probably didn't help that I was centre forward, so I had to do a lot of staying in the midfield and being ready to take the ball and run it down to our goal.

But we won 9-2. I scored at least two goals, maybe three, but there were people willing to pass to me, so that made a difference.

And it really does make a difference.

Anyway, this team is apparently near the bottom of the comp, so the reassurance is that our Grade A team won't get their asses kicked all the time...

I'm just wondering if Grade C is going to be a little bland after this... :)

oh, and job interview

So, I have a technical interview on Wednesday.

If I don't screw it up, I think I may have a job. Permanent no less.

I would have preferred a contract job for six months, moving into a perm position at the end of the time, but they're only seeking a permanent for this job and I don't think I can let anything pass right now.

This is the closest I've gotten since I did an interview last November, they were interested, it got held off until the new year and they never called me back.

So now it's revision, revision, revision, and try to sound like I know what I'm doing as well as know what I'm doing, instead of sounding like a complete nitwit while actually knowing what I'm doing...
