Okay. Caffeine after 1pm is a bad idea. As in, a very very bad idea. We shall note this in future and it shall be noted.

*still has an elevated heart-rate and a bad case of the jitters four hours later*

Thank heavens tonight is hockey training, wherein I am allowed to run around, wear myself out, and generally use up all this jittery. I hope. Because otherwise sleeping tonight is going to be pretty awful.

I've been taking some 'sleep assist' tablets to help me sleep at night - the aching back and over-active brain have not been helping with my general sense of tiredness. They do help, though. However I end up feeling a little groggy during the day, which is not always a good idea. Monday (public holiday) I had plans to do many things. Mostly? I ended up sleeping.

As it turned out, I didn't have to go in to the office this morning, but on the plus side, I got writing done! On the minus side...it's not very good writing. :P

I have drunk water to help flush the caffeine (I'm sure the science of that is completely wrong but whatevs) but I think I'm going to have to drink more. As in, quite a lot more.

It's not a good feeling to want to sleep and want to hit something all at the same time. Not. A. Good. Feeling.

Oh, and stretching tonight before and after hockey so's the back doesn't seize up. We hope.

ugh

So, at 7:10pm, just before I head off to hockey, I receive an email. The work I spent two days doing is wrong and I need to fix it. Before tomorrow morning.

I went to hockey anyway, because, jittery, and if I didn't get to exert myself, it wasn't going to be pretty on Sunday when our games begin.

Got back, had dinner, started on the change around 10pm. Fixed it around 11:30pm.

Upside: it's fixed - hurray!

Downside: I'm pretty sure that my supervisors for this project now think I'm a nitwit. If they didn't already think so.

Right now, I'm not sure if I should write or read or try to sleep. Maybe take two tablets and call myself in the morning...
