Battlestar Galactica Season Two Viewing
Oct. 24th, 2005 12:11 amSo far we've watched 'Scattered', 'Valley of Darkness' and 'Fragged' and are about to watch 'The Resistance'.
It's fun to watch the eps with someone who's enthusiastic about the show, discuss characters and plotlines, pairings and events. While the gals in chat like or love BSG, they're not huge on the cylonbunny front - with the exception of
gwemegil. And her cylonbunnies tend to Adama/Roslin while mine tend...everywhere.
I never realised how much of my fanfic came out of proddage. Used to be that someone piped up with an idea for SG1 and I took it and ran with the possibility. I don't know why SGA is managing spotaneous critical mass - even without encouragement or prompting. Possibly it works because I'm writing for a niche market and so the desire to be different is being adequately fulfilled.
Alternatively, it could be because the girls of Atlantis are what interest me and they're both being woefully abused and underused in the show.
A few friends who really want to talk BSG and fic-writing, bounce around interesting ideas, and want to chat on a regular basis would probably do the trick. 'Course, it's a taller order to fit than it seems. So, in the meantime, I'll just keep inflicting the few pieces that occasionally take over my brainspace on the comms and see if anything or anyone drags me into the fanfic.
Which reminds me: beta-appreciation day was a week or two ago. I'll do my post tomorrow.
Maybe tomorrow afternoon, I'll watch 'The Farm', 'Home 1&2', 'Final Cut', 'Flight...' and 'Pegasus' all in one fell swoop. It'll be something to do, anyway.

I'll have to finish watching 'Flight' and 'Pegasus' before I venture in.
