weird place to work

Canberra is, without a doubt, the oddest place I've ever worked. For one, it's the only place I've worked where, at 4pm, they tell me to go home because "you've been here the longest". Usually I go home because I've worked the hours for my day.
I arrived at 8am. Had a short lunch, which means I can leave at 4:15 and have done my 8-hour day. That's in 10 minutes' time.
Completely irrelevant and not one of you will understand it (okay, maybe Stef and Rob, but unlikely that anyone else will...hm, maybe
banazir?): the SAP print formatting sequence is one of the most bizarre and illogical designs in the world. Whoever came up with SAPScript should be shot. Whoever invented Smartforms should be thwapped. The only reason they shouldn't be shot is because at least Smartforms is modular - you pass everything into the little black box and bingo! out comes the print document. (Although you wouldn't be saying Bingo! if you had to program one of these.) It's still something of a nightmare, though - the output is separated from the formatting, so you find yourself getting all your fields out, higgledy-piggledy, and then you have to go back, work out what formatting style you want it and reformat over the top. It's like writing out the bare bones of a story and then adding description, backstory, infodumping, and scenery...it makes no sense to me: why not do it all at the one time?
ps.
banazir, do you still want that BSG 'well-behaved women' icon? I'm sorry I never got it out to you.
Eh. I've spent 5 minutes typing this out. 5 minutes to go!
