the last Christmas post
Jan. 9th, 2007 07:49 pmOkay, so I opened a couple of overseas gifts today.

sjhw_tolerance - thank you for the lovely necklace (red and blue beads) with the stargate hanging on it! I shall wear it to the next convention I attend!

allisnow? Thanks for the cornbread and the beanie baby! (You remembered!)
Unfortunately, the cornbread mix didn't arrive!
I have here a Very Serious letter from the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Foresty:
Items in Quarantine: Eggs
Further Details: Cornbread and muffin mix with egg
Comments: 4 packets of cornbread and muffin mix with egg. Return to sender as egg is prohibited due to poultry disease risks.
ARGH! My cornbread!
So, tomorrow, I'm calling the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service and inquiring after the state of my cornbread.
Because they surely can't have included an actual egg in the packet. Maybe a sachet of egg-ness? Freeze-dried egg products?
So, it looks like I am out of cornbread. :(
--
Thanks to the people who sent cards or Christmas greetings - twas lovely receiving them. Unfortunately, I don't know where they are right now - under some mountain of paperwork in a bag somewhere, no doubt.
*hugs*
