seldearI like the hockey team I played for this year. They were good fun, good value, and good sports. I got to hit the ball, score goals, and feel like I was contributing to the team and not just hanging on the edge.
I still have friends in the top-graded team, though. And since the summer competition isn't graded, and the players are all mixed around, I was hoping to get to play with the women I played with in my old team.
Nuh-uh. They're all in the Thursday team; I'm in the Tuesday team. With a slew of players one grade down and two other players from our grade. While most of the players in my grade and the grade up are on the Thursday team.
Apparently all the players a grade down want to play together on Tuesdays. Which, you know, is fine and expected in the summer competition, but not so great for the couple of us stuck playing with them.
*sigh*
