Just having a look through my old feedback file. Yes, I keep every single piece of feedback anyone has ever sent me on one of my stories. Sometimes it's nice to go back and feel the love, even from people who probably wouldn't give me the time of day now.

Y'know, [livejournal.com profile] lydkami was the very first person to ever send me feedback on one of my stories. 4th Dec, 2001. [livejournal.com profile] skydiver119 was the third. Oddly enough, she had already pinpointed my 'evil and demented' mind. It takes one to know one, I guess. *g*

Heh. [livejournal.com profile] sharim? I just found your first feedback to me. :)

I'd forgotten I kept all this.

A sunny day in Sydney, not too windy, out in the botanical gardens overlooking Sydney Harbour. Maybe down by Mrs Macquarie's chair, looking out to Fort Denison. Picnic lunch: soy chicken drumsticks and zucchini frittata, fairy bread and lemonade (non-american version), sushi rolls and smoked salmon, and mum's creamy potato salad with the little chunks of egg in it.

And all my friends from around the world, jostling and chatting and grumbling at how the sun is in the wrong quadrant and talking with their funny accents ('cos, y'know, in Sydney, they'd be the ones with accents) and arguing Atlantis ships, reading books, catching up with people, rubbing shoulders...

And we could go up to the ANA hotel and have nice cocktails to finish off the day before going back to my place for a massive slumber party. At which I would, naturally, fall asleep first because I'm like that.

Of course, it's never gonna happen. Mostly because trying to get anyone out to Australia is an exercise in futility.

But it's nice to dream.
