In a panic about [livejournal.com profile] sjficathon entry. Others have finished. I have not. I have a tricky assignment. Ergo, panic. I hope I won't have to ask for an extension, but I fear I might have to. The story has already switched three times. I think I'm going to stick with this one, although I don't know how good it's going to be. *drop-kicks story*

There are at least a couple of 'Buffy' fans on my f-list - you may not have heard of the Jenny Calendar ficathon being run by [livejournal.com profile] havocthecat. Signups are open at [livejournal.com profile] technopagan_fic. Please pimp! Especially if you have Buffy fans on your f-list!

I know there are Weir fans on my f-list - are you aware of the Elizabeth Weir ficathon being run at [livejournal.com profile] weirfans? See note on Jenny Calendar Ficathon about pimping.

I think that's all the pimping I have to do.

Sore from body combat class at gym yesterday - haven't been to one of those in years. Body balance around lunchtime, but I have to put something in my stomach before then.

Original fiction is stalled. Ficathon entry gets priority. I really need a deadline - someone to beat me about the head and shoulders if I don't have this original story done. And I have this story from 'BSG: Bastille Day' that's just screaming to be written.

Thanks to the people who answered the last post. I really was just curious.

DAMN!

I'm in the middle of a craft project, having spent the last two days working on it: and I've just realised that the pattern I planned is too strong for the finished result when the design is put into practise.

BUGGER!

So now I have several options: I can finish this project and use it for something other than it's original intended purpose, or I can keep going and hand in the finished product in spite of major dissatisfaction with the pattern. Or I can come up with a new arrangement of the old design that isn't so hard on the eyes.

*grr*

*stares at design, willing it to resolve into something that's pleasant to look at*

I think I might have to go with the new arrangement. I honestly can't be arsed to do all the work again with a new project.

I guess I've learned something for next time, anyway. Big patterns for the large spaces. BIIIIG patterns.

*sigh*

Incidentally, I have AIM open, and every single person on my buddy list is marked both 'away' and 'idle'. It's freaky.

ps. One more pimp: anyone up for the [livejournal.com profile] badcliche ficathon?
