a rare and fragile beest
Nov. 26th, 2005 11:21 pmWhy is it that almost all the people who respond to specific fics of mine lack spelling or grammar capabilities? Does that say something about my writing style, the fandom, the pairing, the story, or all of the above? Would it be less frustrating if I could find writers who could put together a story that I wanted to read, thereby alleviating my need to provide something that won't make me reach for the spork? Would it be less frustrating if the feedback was being given by people who could put together a correct sentence in English without the overuse of exclamation marks, any chatspeak, and the need for a quick smack upside with a grammar dictionary?
Maybe I should just be glad that I'm getting feedback at all? God knows, it's become a rare and fragile creature in the land of Sel.
But if you judge the story by the degree of feedback it receives, then I can't write for shit.
Yeah, yeah, bitch, please.
