ebay bitch

I sold an item about a month ago, got the payment, sent it out. A week ago, I got notification that the person hadn't received it.

Upon clarification, we discovered that she hadn't updated their ebay address to their new address. ie. the error was hers.

Unfortunately, me being the generous soul I am, I offered to repay her if the items didn't arrive before I thought about the situation. Namely, that I'm paying for a stupidity on her part.

Anyway, she's just mailed me today saying she's "really sorry" but she wants her money back and she'll pay if she receives the goods.

I have this feeling I'm being taken for a ride.

This is the one night of the week I'm likely to get to myself since I've got dinner with the parentals tomorrow, my father flies in from HK for my great-uncle's funeral (Friday? Monday?), I have 8 hours of War Of The Roses (with Cate Blanchett!) on Saturday, the memorial for said great-uncle on Sunday...

Don't even talk to me about what's due fic-wise in the next two weeks.

And all I really want right now is a bit of John/Teyla fic. That I haven't written.

something's gotta give

Okay, I'm putting my stargate_summer story on the backburner.

My reasoning is that I'll do it when my summer comes around. For some reason, everyone wants to run ficathons and whatsadoodads in the Northern spring, which makes this time of year unseasonably busy. I was stressed about all my fic work last year, too - and this year, I'm trying to enter in a couple of profic comps, which means extra work.

Truthfully, I don't know if I'll ever get around to finishing the Honour Bound series; it was some time ago and things have changed a lot.
