I know how shitty it is to have your computer die at someone else's hands =and= to loose all your files.. there are just no words :-(

Have reinstalled the OS and my folders are still there. Don't know how uncorrupted the files are. Here's hoping.

On the chance that the files are partially corrupt, you can zip them and get them to me, and I have several utilities that can usually reconstruct all Microsoft Office documents and spreadsheets. On-Trac is a wonderful thing.

Eeeek. I'm so sorry to hear about your laptop! That utterly sucks.
