It's been a verrrrrrrry long time since I posted about Stargate. With a lot of 'r's in verrry.

Incidentally, did you know that it's a lot faster reading the transcript of an episode than actually watching it? Reckoning 1 took 40+ minutes to watch. Reckoning 2 took about 20 mins to read. (I didn't have the vid.)

And Threads took a whole hour to watch. Whew! Be interested to see how they screen that one tomorrow night.

Mostly, I enjoyed Gemini. I knew about the double-cross since I asked D about RepliCarter, and AT did a marvellous job of acting both RepliCarter and Sam. Twas good. Although there were moments when I thought the expressions were a bit odd.

Reckoning (the first half) was visually good (or maybe it was just the fact that I got my 'squintyvision' so clear that it might have been on TV). I had to imagine the second half from the episode transcript. Has anyone pointed FJ to the scene where RepliCarter kills Daniel? I think she'd enjoy that.

And then Threads, of course. Long ep. Lots of bits and pieces. Good acting all around - even from the Marty Stu stalkerboy's actor. I may possible have felt just a little sorry for the Marty Stu Pete. Possibly. Then it was swept away in the OMG SQUEE.

I'm gonna miss Jacob, though. *sigh* I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY KILLED JACOB!! Wah! Bra'tac's death I could almost have lived with, but Jake? *grumps*

And I know I wasn't the only person who was waiting for Jack to walk in during the scene where Jacob meets Marty Stu Stalkerboy Pete and say, "Hey, Dad!"

Nice scene with Jack and Sam in the viewing room. *snerks* Subtext? Nooooo, Sam and Jack obviously don't have any subtext in the show! Bad shipper! No biscuit!

Good ep, though. Y'know, I actually would have liked to see more of Kerry. Although it's possible that she might have been seen in previous episodes and I just missed that. At least she had the sense to know when she was out of her league. And the scene with Jack waking up was way contrived. It was bleeding obvious he had someone in the bed with him and they were trying to stretch the moment out. Sorry, whoever did the cinematography for that one gets a C-minus for 'very tacky.'

Anubis is fat, white, and whistles really annoyingly. Maybe I'd been spoiled, but I saw that one coming a mile away. And the whole scene in the diner only confirmed that Skanky really can't act. (Don't try too hard, Michael, really, you might hurt yourself.)

And I'll get into trouble for this (both coming and going), but meh! Michael Shanks is a prick who can't act: but he does have a nice body.

Edited because I posted it too soon.

Guess I'm weird 'cause I didn't, but it would have been really funny! Hee! :D

Of course not. He was just, um, keeping her warm there, yeah. 'cause ya know it's chilly in that observation room. ;)

Well, I didn't say you were weird...just that I can't have been the only one thinking that!

Damn but i SOOOOOO wished he had!

That would have been so funny. I have this image of them on the way out from seeing Jacob, and Jack passes them, "oh, you've finished? Good. I gotta have a word with Dad." And Sam goes this lovely beetroot colour and mutters something about how the General's always done his own thing.

It's always nice when strangers and parents confirm shippiness. *g*

And no woman would ever make love to RDAs hand given the unmitigated opportunity...
