W00T! Found SGA reading for lunchtime with pairing I'm interested in by author with whom I don't have to wait for the wince!moment. HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH!

Speaking of which, does anyone actually write genfic in SGA? Or is it all about Teh Relayshunship?

Cooked soft-centred chocolate pudding last night. Butter, chocolate, eggs, flour; mix, bake, eat with much cream. To quote my friend: "All the good stuff." Mmm...

ETA: I should have had a crumpet before I left home this morning. I'm hungry now.

The yahoo group SGAHC has a lot of genfic. A lot. Hardly any ship.

If it's created and run by the same people as sg1hc, then I think I'll pass.

All that'll happen is that they'll take their 'chosen character', whump him (it won't be a her) to within an inch of their life, and have the appropriate 'comforter' (again, usually male) patch everything up and make it all bettah!

Didn't have a lot of patience for it in SG-1, not about to start with Atlantis.

We actually had a rather lively discussion about that on the list a couple weeks ago. Although I've never been a whumper, I can see the allure of the bruised and bandaged Shep, but I always have him comforted by the emotionally damaged Teyla. Yes, it makes me in the minority, but they do send those boys on some crazy adventures.

I totally understand that it wouldn't be your cup of tea. I keep on meaning to write a good adventury fic for Shep's team, but my SG-1 bunnies keep on springing on me almost fully-formed, and *shrugs* I've got to follow the muse ;)

So is it run by the SG1HC list peeps? 'Cos they turned out to be 100% Denialites and the Danny-wuv just got too much.

Don't really care to undergo the same battle in Atlantis. Assuming I get into the show.

It's technically a sister group to the SG1HC, but I don't think any of the mods are the same. Well, one of the mods used to be a real Danny whumper, but now has turned most of her attentions on McKay. At least 2 mods are inclined to get Weir in on the comforting front. I'm actually on the mod team; so there is at least one ship-inclined person, and we just got two new mods who I'm not familiar with. Yeah, the girls occasionally gush about McKay, but it certainly isn't the focus of the group. One or two of the stories have come across as rehashed Daniel/Jack fics with the names changed, but mostly there is a lot of whumping and a lot of Becket or Rodney saving the day. Some slash/preslash, but mostly labled. I'm not sure what to say as far as persuading one way or the other. I didn't really get into the group until I became a mod. There is some really good fic on the group, and really this is the most involved I've ever been in something gen, and therefore I don't have anything to compare it to. It's cool, and there are people like me around to keep the others in check ;)

Oh, YUM. Chocolate pudding with cream. *Dies*

Do you know how torturous this is for me to read atm! Why is everybody posting about chocolate?! Woe!

Are you on a diet or something, hon? Or are you allergic to chocolate?

Notparticularly, I was just in an eating mood and didn't want to stuff myself ;) And we didn'thave any chocolate which was driving me nuts!

Ah. So 'twas not the desire for chocolate, but the lack of chocolate that would have made even desire defunct. :)

I'm always in an eating mood.

Heh, probably :D

Yeah. Food can be a bit of a bane. Exercising more lately has been making me hungrier I think. Which is not the point of exercise ;)
