Okay, I have issues with the start of this one. It seems to me that what TPTB of Atlantis are saying is that only humans from Earth have compassion, friendship, and the concept of doing someone a favour to be paid back at a future time.

They shouldn't ever let Sheppard out without a handler. Really.

McKay is so funny when someone's trying to steal his thunder. Or, just about anytime, actually.

Yes, little redhaired girl. They're probably dead. Your people are ruthless. Ooh. Let me guess. He wants Atlantis himself. Power struggles?

Yup. Atlantis. And ruthless. And ooh, he's threatening Weir. Which is not quite as exciting as if he'd threatened someone minor. Someone minor can die. Weir's not allowed to, so obviously she might get a little injured, but hey, it's all in the name of a good story.

Hm. McKay/Weir squee. Seriously. He's funny when he's gallant and geeky. Okay, so he's funny all the time.

Ford and Carson are having a right old argument of it. Ford's kinda cute when he gets commanding. Pity we only get to see him saying 'yes, sir' and 'no, sir' most of the time.

And is it just me, or is there going to be a showdown between Teyla and Zorah? Because, seriously, issues much?

"I'm an extremely arrogant man who tends to think all of his plans will work." Definitely icon material there.

Okay, this takes some getting used to. Instead of a single lead (RDA) there are three main leads and the stories and follow-throughs switch between them.

I didn't get through as much as I would have liked due to 'technical problems' so...probably more later. And it's kinda hard to keep watching - I don't know why. Maybe I'm just a lot more discerning and picky about a show now that I know about everything that goes on behind it.

Anyway, I'm going to watch the rest of this season. Another couple of eps today at least...
