You start off with a very large common base: ie. "birth" and along the way, according to the choices that are made, you keep splitting and splitting and splitting, until there are thousands of you - all the tiny little heads on a broccoli. You will share bases with swathes of the other 'yous' (the other itty bitty heads) but you will be your own individual itty bitty head up down to the point where you split from all the others...

I really have to stop posting so much.

I love broccoli.

Try lightly steam-frying it with minced fresh garlic in a little bit of oil.

Chop up into flowerets, dash of oil, teaspoon of garlic, fry broccoli a few minutes, pour in about a quarter-cup of water, put a lid on and steam-fry for about 5-6 minutes until water dries up. Add a bit of salt and serve.

Really nice.

Or we could go with the cauliflower theory. ;) Or the asparagus fern theory. They're all yummy veggies, so any appelation is fine.

And no, you don't need to trim back on your postings. *noogie*

Well, looking at 'the choices that are made' is the simplest form of explaining multiverses to minds that can't handle the basic theory of multiple universes that can interact with each other and interfere in each other's destiny through time travel.

But yes, there are a lot more factors than mere human choice.
