It's going to be another of those days.

It's only 10am. I leave at 5pm.

Heck this. I'm going to write fic. If they don't have work for me, then I'm not going to bloody well sit and twiddle my thumbs for another seven hours!

I need another set of mood icons. Loved the Matrix set from anr but need a new one. Atlantis? BSG? Anyone?

And I am presently fighting the urge to smack the heck out of a twerp on fanficrants who takes every opportunity to diss Sam when the topic of Stargate comes up. (Daniel fan. Yep. One of those.) Who got hold of the idea that women are sweet, communally-minded creatures who nurture others, anyway? They've obviously never been in fandom.

Oh welcome to my world, sweetie. Sit and do what you like, I say. Not your fault that they leave you to do nothing. I'm sitting here chatting, redoing my LJ layout, and all on the university dollar.

I LOVE screwing this place! Really! It makes me feel SO academic. *grins*

And agreeing with you on the Sam!Dissing. I sure as hell don't "nurture". I think the closest word I have is "nuclear", and the context ain't pretty. ;)

Me? I'm working at Griffith University. Typing emails, proofreading, general office stuff, "entertaining" overseas visitors to the lab (but not in the way that they would like - poor dears ... *winks*) and pinning fruit flies with little teensy pins.

Oh - and uni. Going to uni. Which totally sucks. I can't wait to be rid of this degree!

The problem is not so much boredom: I have things to do. Just not work-related things.

And while at work, I am obligated to do work-related things. I just don't have any work-related things to do.

If the end of the day hits and I haven't had anything more significant come up, I'm going to talk to the boss and see about a day off until they do collect some work for me!
