I woke up with BSG fic ideas in my head. Scenes, actually, quite graphic. This worries me. I still haven't seen 1.02 and have a feeling that my characterisation is way off.

Mind you, I got another idea for SGA fic while in the middle of the chest track during pump class. Some people get 'em in the shower. Some people get 'em on the road. I get 'em during gym classes. Go figger.

Am mildly sugared up and have read through the f-list. Either I have too many of you on there, or you're a chatty bunch. I swear to God that you talk more than...well, more than anyone I regularly have conversations with! It's probably why I like you so much.

I nearly typed 'RUNE' just then. Which then produces this image of everyone either drawing or painting runes of some kind all over... Oh, never mind. Sugar. At least I'll never write a fic on a sugar high and try to pass it off as decent reading.

Anyway, last night over at the friends was very cool. We had a tomato-chicken-y thing for dinner and I caught up with some friends I haven't sat down with in four years. Was good. And then we played 'Blocker', which has puzzle pieces like Tetris, but you have to get as many of your pieces down as possible and block the pieces of other players as they creep across the board. I lost. Hey, I had this strategy all laid out and went for it. Aggressively. Too much so. D'oh! Anyway, I also made chocolate pudding (if I'm staying with you this trip, remind me and I'll happily cook it for you and any guests you happen to have - although if there are as many people at squeecon this year as last year, I may find myself using up a whole carton of eggs) which was super-dooper delish.

This morning I went to the gym, then met up with a friend and her eight-month son, and we went shopping. I bought a winter coat (corduroy, grey), a loofah brush and lots of fabric. LOTS of it. (It was $3 a metre, down from $6 a metre - and although they weren't the super-nice patterns I wanted, they were still pretty stuff! Here come the quilts!) Then we had morning tea (hence the sugar-up) and split before her son got too fretful. Her son ate so. much.

Tonight, Colin Buchanan concert at Saturday night church. Kids galore. Must remember not to be late - there'll be no parking otherwise!

Ooh, and I'm feeling good about my musician-recognition skills. I pegged 'What are you waiting for' (triceps track in Body Pump) as being sung by Gwen Stefani and I was right!

Time to do some writing. Or lie down.
