I don't know if I can take this. It's nearly worse than watching 'Troy'. I much prefer Ellen Randolph's prequels to the 'official line'.

And, yes, the dialogue is tacky.

ETA: It's got to be more than a little sad when the most interesting thing in this is to look at the technology and think "cool, I recognise the styles and types from the original trilogy!"

Ladies and gentlemen, this is beyond tacky. Saying that a sixteen year-old wrote the dialogue is being unkind to the intelligence and writing skills of sixteen year-olds.

Okay. Am now ready to read other people's opinions. Would love it if you'd comment below with a link to your post (or anyone's post) about it.

hmm... see I didn't think it was that good compared to the original three, most defintitely not, but it was better than the first two and I can kinda accept that it exists (unlike TPM and AotC)...

Mine wasn't a review (http://www.livejournal.com/users/elaran/115095.html), moreso thoughts running through my head during the movie...

That mine wasn't a review or that it was ok and should be accepted as being part of the Star Wars saga? :P

Lucas should have been throttled for the dialogue, shouldn't he?

You might enjoy this take on the movie. Don't drink anything when you read it.

*hugs*

I've said it for others, and I'll say it endlessly, the book is way better than the movie. Read it!

Matthew Woodring Stover

I don't know his other work, but he did an excellent job with this.

Huh. I have Ellen Randolph's post-ROTJ novel, but didn't know she had done prequels.

My posts are all now tagged starwars. But judging by the above, they'll probably just irritate you. :-)
