writing on the RTW
Jun. 29th, 2005 09:29 amWhile cleaning out my room the other day, I found an inch thick file, full of notes and scribblings on one set of stories about the rise to power of a family in an imaginary country. I paused and had a quick look through. Yes. I remember these stories. There were wars and power struggles, love and death, hatred and vendettas, and the universe of magic, politics, and conflict that I came up with when I was about 15.
I have several pages of notes on another series, and about forty files of characters, stories, plots, and devices. Nothing spectacular, your typical journey-heroic-fantasy. Either that or political intrigue.
And I've come to a decision. Not an easy one, but my own and nobody else's.
Basically, for the RTW trip, I'll only be taking my original fiction and my ficathon entries. All other plotbunnies (and cylonbunnies) will be written down as they come, but no work will begin on them until 9th September, 2005 - unless they stage an infiltration-and-takeover.
So if you want me to write/finish/continue a specific fanfic, you have a week in which to prod me to get it done (and who knows, I have written 5,000 words in a day before) before it goes on hiatus for two months.
