voyeurism meme

Alrighty. Got my pics taken and uploaded.
meg_pat2000 wanted to see the kitchen,
sharim wants to see my messy bedroom,
erica_w has a thing for tiles, and
distant_cord demanded to see my house and work area, while
tv_elf and
ficgate want to compare book collections, and
hwcarnage has a curtain fetish.
I have an odd f-list. But at least nobody was asking for pics of my tits. Not that you'd have gotten them anyway.
Please note, everything is messy because we're going through a moving stage. The parentals are moving in tonight and tomorrow and I've had to clear out the main bedroom for them to move their stuff into.
for
meg_pat2000 - the kitchen:

And so, our kitchen. Big with lots of benchspace - perfect for cooking. The only issue is that the dishwasher you can see in the background doesn't work, so it's all handwashing. *shudder* The oven doesn't work either, but we have a convection-oven/microwave in the pantry (the room beyond the oven). It's messy because the parentals are moving in. (Do you sense a theme?)
--
For
sharim, my bedroom floor!

The bed with the covers pulled back is mine. The other one is my absent sister's. She's living in Goulburn and only comes back every second weekend, so I use her bed as a general place to dry my towels, etc. And yes, I tend to shuck my clothes and dump them. Note the collection of books on the small white table behind the wooden chest of drawers.
--
For
erica_w, the bathroom...

There's a shower on the opposite side of the bathroom, but you can't see it from this angle. We keep the containers of water for the cats to drink - it's that or the water in the toilet. We prefer this.
--
For
distant_cord, the house, the view, and my workspace.

The entranceway to the house. With my mother's cactus plants in the foreground. My attempts at growing snow peas are hardly to be seen - they're in the big brown tub just in front of the wooden things leaning against the wall. The upstairs windows face directly west and look out from the main bedroom (which was formerly mine). They're almost always covered.
--

The view from the south of the house, across the driveway (nearly on the neighbour's property). Downstairs is just the garages, the balcony on the first level runs all the way along the lounge room, and the plastic you can see hanging across it is my mother's attempt at a greenhouse for her succulents (cacti). Since this side of the house faces south and we're in the Southern Hemisphere, it's not going to be a very effective\ greenhouse. It might keep some of the rain off the plants, though.
--

The view from the top balcony - the main bedroom. This used to be the view that I had just to the left of me when I sat at my desk. It was nice to sit back and relax and enjoy that view. The one from my current space isn't quite so nice.

Another one of the view because it's beautiful. That's the neighbours' houses - we share a driveway with several houses. The light/dark contrasts in the pic make it a bit difficult to see everything, but I love the white column of the gum tree you can see. It's just beautiful. I love my country.
--

My workspace. Note the Stargate SG1 video on the bed, the Firefly DVDs on the left corner of the desk (beneath the red mobile phone), and the Stargate Atlantis desktop. You can even see the white chest of my cat, triangular down in the shadows beneath my desk.
Incidentally, if the Stargate SG-1 video belongs to you, please let me know so I can send it back!
--
tv_elf and
ficgate, here's the book collection:

Right. The bookshelf. As you can see, a broad assortment of books, most of them shuffled in any which way since I haven't had a chance to sort them since I moved them from the study (they're in the hallway right now). That's the fantasy-sci-fi bookshelf. The other one has a few classics, but mostly self-help books.
--
And a curtain call for
hwcarnage!

Curtains and Kermit the frog on the bedpost! And the courtyard and garden beyond. Fetish satisfied, J? ;)
--
And we're mostly done!
venom69 wanted my dinner before I ate it (you certainly wouldn't want pics of it after I ate it!) and
majorsamfan wanted baby/childhood pics. I don't have any right now, and the ones I do have would have to be scanned in - so there'll be a slight delay getting those ones out.
Of the baby pics, you get the option of me with the rubber ducky in the bathtub and shampoo hair (I was an adorable baby, really), or me watching my sisters dig their fingers into a friend's birthday cake, age 2 (the expressions - including Des' Eeyore-ic expression of "Oh well, it was a nice cake while it lasted" - are completely classic).
