seldearNot enough sleep, an episode of Stargate Atlantis, a really nice lunch, and a pair of tap shoes later, mum is making me a cake.
I wanted a really rich orange-and-poppyseed cake, but coconut with lemon icing will do fine.

Okay, most of the time, I'm reasonably pissed off at you, mostly because I think the franchise was doing better under Brad Wright. And, well, you're a geek. Good with the action, not so good with the interpersonal, and really bad at using the women. On the other hand, this was a highly enjoyable episode, written and directed. Besides, between quips, Rodney/Carson, Rodney/Ronon, John/Ronon, John/Teyla and TEAM, I'm on 'woohoo' overload - and I'm not even a slasher! So I'll forgive you. For a few weeks, anyway. *g*

Whoa. I mean, just...WHOA. Prettyboy, maybe; actor, definitely. Ronon was all raw emotion (and, yes, all RAWR, too) in this ep - stripped down to his bare emotion and on the run again. You did good. Damn good. Now, go smooch Torri/Elizabeth for the cameras and allow my shippy little heart to expire from sheer excitement and the prospect of total fandom apoplexy. Please?

Nice acting. John both resonated with his team-mate's state and situation, and with the force of his own (rather similar) issues of family and the people for whom John would give his life. The awkward personal moment was well done - I can see John as a casual, almost playful guy when his heart isn't involved - and then serious and uncomfortable when he doesn't know how the dice are gonna fall. But I still think John needed to crawl over the table and make Teyla kiss it all better for at least, oh, fifteen minutes or so. *g*

Loved Teyla in this ep, backing up Ronon and John in the various scenes. Competent, calm, and loyal, with a sweetly wry sense of humour, done deadpan. "And Ronon appears to be quite angry." I always love the way she and John work together as partners within the broader scope of the team.

I enjoyed S2 more than I enjoyed S1, btw, and am enjoying S3 more than S2. Teyla definitely improves as the show goes on.
Don't know that your maternal unit will like her any better, though! *g*
