Hey, booty call - who's going to saramund's wedding again? sassie_collins? megpat2000? I know Shaz has piked it, and apparently Chezza-someone from Britland and her sister are coming down?

Sassie? Meg? Are you guys coming to Sydney and are you going to drive down with me that weekend? We must discuss things like 'when do you get in?' and 'do we have to hire a car?' and 'am I going to have to kill anyone over their music choice while we're driving?' *g*

It's only just over a month away!

Last night, my mother called me at 1am. She called because someone tried to call their house, but didn't hang on long enough for them to pick up, and she was worried it might be the sistren or I in trouble. I didn't mind the call - it was for her peace of mind, and I'd probably have done the same thing if I were a mum and I thought my daughters might be calling for help at 1am. But I didn't get back to sleep until 3am.

I zoned in and out of parts of the day. Very disconcerting.

Speaking of the job, I have it until the end of March, and it's looking like I'll have it until the end of April - they still haven't found anyone to cover for me. This could go on for a while - and I'm kinda ambivalent. Because I'd like to have a break for a couple of weeks, sit back, chill, sleep in, relax, write like the blazes, surf like the lazes. And I'd like to get on a project that does development work, not support. Support tends to rot my brain; I get restless and it's all bad.

But at least the money coming in bodes well for the RTW trip later this year!

I was going to try to write 5,000 words on this story tonight. I'm just going to shoot for 3K, that'll get me to 10K on the story.

YES at this stage I am most definetly coming.

AFAIk at the moment i will fly in on either thursday or friday and be leaving the sunday (i have school monday!)

I was thinking about this just last night, and i have no idea how much it would cost to hire a car to drive that far etc.

any help would be appreciated. when are you heading down there?

Probably on the Friday sometime. I'm happy to drive you down in my car (will have to remember to get it seen to at some stage) - it mostly depends on exactly when you get in.

Let me know when you've got your arrival time in Sydney. It's at least 5 hours to get down there (possibly six?) and I'd like to be down on the Friday night so we can pester Becc relax and take it easy. :)

OH, and Sel - the two English girls are dragonlady_gnrd and cyberchezza. They're turning up for the Hens night, so Sel - you'll at least have met them before hand. Although I think you've met Cheryl before - at a Gatecon.

I have 1.18 downloaded, I just haven't gotten around to watching it. (I was going to write 2000 words, then watch it, but since it's now 10pm and I still have 500 to go...probably not.)
