Stargate: The Final Frontier...

I came in during Season Five and watched Seasons 1-3 in three weeks. Took forever to locate Season Four (not shown on TV, not out on video), loved it through Season Six even if I had to squint my way through the episodes, lost interest Season Seven, and haven't seen most of S8-S10.
It started me on fanfiction and writing. It made me friends who were silly and fun and who shared some of the same thoughts and many different ones, and made me acquaintances who were willing to chat and cheer and talk and argue. It got me into fandom and LJ and fanfiction and...
It opened up new worlds of opportunity.
I haven't been watching or writing SG1 for the last couple of years, and no show since has ever quite been as thrilling as that first, heady rush of "Oh, wow. Must Watch Episodes Now!"
You never forget your first. Jack would point out that was a cliche, and it is. It's also pretty true. You never do.
And now it's over.
*hugs*
