bits and bobs
Jul. 3rd, 2007 07:54 amYou know, the only really surprising thing about the
die_carter_die comm is that none of the more rabid Sam-hating Elizabeth-fen of my LJ acquaintance are on it.

The weather has been extremely windy, but also rather warm lately. I think we've been up in the late teens - certainly, it's not quite a chilly as it was a couple of weeks ago.
Still not getting sleep though.

For the Americans who fly around their country: what's the cheapest airline, or when's the cheapest time to get tickets? Do travel companies/airlines have periodic sales for flights between specific cities when the prices are reduced? What travel companies/airlines do you recommend?
For instance, in Australia, I can get a return flight to Hobart for around $375USD. On a sale, I can get a return flight to Hobart for $100USD.
Vive la difference!

I don't know what it is about this area that makes dawn and dusk so spectacular. This morning, in the north, a cloudbank had swept up over the sky, but was feathered along the upper edge to catch the light of the sun rising behind it with gilded brightness.
And me without a camera. (And late for work.)
Damn dog was barking at something in the backyard at 3am for an hour. Getting up this morning was sooooo hard...

Date: 2007-07-02 11:09 pm (UTC)In my experience, the cheapest tickets you can get are those you buy outside of the 2-week time frame. The closer the date, the more expensive the ticket.
Jet Blue is a very nice and cheap airline that I've been using but some people can't because it doesn't run out of their airport.
And round trip tickets tend to be cheaper than one way.
