Paper clips rule: MacGyver trumps Jack Bauer as hero.
*laughs and laughs and laughs*
Even funnier: the pic of RDA on the webpage of the Sydney Morning Herald is not from MacGyver at all, but SG1!
And I mentioned both in my answer to last week's

Date: 2007-09-13 01:33 pm (UTC)And I definitely don't think I'd be choosing McClane in a crisis. He's too ... don't know. Actually I'm surprised Jack Bauer rated so lowly, but I guess he's not everyone's cup of tea. Much more the darker side of getting things resolved - and of course there's the fact that if you're on his side you're just as likely to wind up dead.
I guess who I'd choose depends on the emergency - though that's likely why McGyver did so well. Because he's such a generalist, he could help out no matter what the problem. Many of the choices would only be useful in very limited situations.

And yes, I'm around a bit at the moment. Work isn't horribly frantic, though it appears as though that could be about to change with some customer likely to go into crisis mode. Ah well, it's why they pay me I suppose.

LJ's gone pretty quiet in the last six to eight months. At least, my section of the internet's gone all silent. End of SG1, I guess.
