Sep. 26th, 2007 02:39 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
This is your last opportunity to arrange for a catch-up with me during RTW 2007 before I fly out on Monday. (Monday! *wheezes*)
Destinations and Dates
1st Oct to 5th Oct - Phoenix, AZ (staying with a friend)
5th Oct to 10th Oct - Houston, TX (staying with a friend)
10th Oct to 14th Oct - Anaheim, CA (Disneyland with friends)
14th Oct to 18th Oct - Las Vegas, NV (with friends)
18th Oct to 26th Oct - Sacramento, CA (staying with a friend)
26th Oct to 29th Oct - Philadelphia, PA (with friends)
29th Oct to 1st Nov - Boston, MA (me, myself, and I)
1st Nov to 4th Nov - London, UK (at SG12 with friends)
4th Nov to 13th Nov - travelling Europe with tour group
13th Nov to 24th Nov - AS YET UNACCOUNTED FOR, mostly likely to be spent in UK - possibly Cambridge, with a stint in Hungary
24th Nov to 26th Nov - London, UK (staying with a friend)
Disneyland and the Europe tour are probably the worst times to try to arrange something. Sacramento, Boston, and between the 13th - 24th November are the best.
And if you all turn up in Philadelphia, then I shall laugh and laugh and laugh. And probably throw a party. :D
...five days. You think I'd be used to this, but still...

Date: 2007-09-26 06:07 am (UTC)The White Rose Line runs from Kings Cross up past Lincoln stopping at Newark which is 10 mins from my house. Takes about 1 1/2 hours. We're in a good place if you feel like seeing Nottingham...or have an interest in Roman history since we have a lot of that here in Lincoln. Let me know if you're interested.

Date: 2007-09-26 06:46 am (UTC)I'm probably going to visit up Cambridge way for some of that period. How much further is Lincoln?

Date: 2007-09-26 01:21 pm (UTC)I'm thinking that it might be an idea to go to Hungary immediately after the Europe tour for a few days, then come back to the UK and spend some time specifically there.
...if I do come to Lincoln, may I stay with you guys? (You may not have space.)

Date: 2007-10-22 11:36 pm (UTC)How would it be if I visited over the weekend of the 16th-18th?
I've seen Nottingham, so not so interested in that. But Lincoln and Cambridge and surrounds would be cool (if you have any interest in that).

Date: 2007-09-26 01:14 pm (UTC)I may have to find somewhere to do workouts and gym routines. Or else stick to two meals a day - one full meal and one of fruit!

Date: 2007-09-26 09:32 pm (UTC)Plans have changed a little - I'm going to be in Philly from Thursday to Monday, so if you can make it to the hotel - or if you know where you're going to arrive in Philly (train, bus, auto?) then we can co-ordinate to meet.

Date: 2007-10-11 09:39 pm (UTC)Monday (29th) or Tuesday (30th) would work better; I have young kids, and the 31st is a big day for them.
Is there anything in particular you'd like to do? Dinner? A tour of MIT's tunnels?

Date: 2007-10-22 11:38 pm (UTC)Tunnels? What does MIT have tunnels for? (Is that a stupid question?)
Um, I'm okay with doing everything - planning to walk the Freedom Trail sometime during one of the days, but nights are free, or if lunch is a better prospect for you, then I'm good anywhere that I can get via public transport.

Date: 2007-10-25 02:54 pm (UTC)Mostly they're for avoiding snow; but there's something very geeky about them that appeals.
I've been hoping I could skip work and tag along on the Freedom Trail, but I've had a hard time getting in hours this week between sick kids and sick cars. How about dinner Monday night? Any place you'd like to go?
