haircut

Right, well, I got a haircut.

My hair was down to about the middle of my back this morning. Now, the longest strands are just past my jaw.

I was hoping for Sam circa late Season 4 and Season 5, and ended up with Japanese Rock Star. Which just goes to show that you should take a picture in and say "this is what I want - do not deviate!"

Then again, I'm not sure that Sam circa late S4-S5 would suit me. My features aren't as light as AT's (or geneeste's, who has the same haircut).

Anyway, the first cut they gave me was helmet-head. A little too square at the top - my skull has square corners up the back, even though my face is oval. I got it just before lunch, then, over lunch, decided I wasn't entirely happy with it and went back to the hairdresser with my mum (whose rec I took to go there in the first place) and got it redone.

I look a bit more like a Japanese Rock Star than I like (believe it or not, I wasn't going for the j-rock look!) but if I push the strands back behind my ears, it looks more like my style of haircut. I think.

Hopefully, by the time I again see anyone who reads this LJ (with the exceptions of saramund and arabel), it will have grown out a little.

Possibly into the Mullet. EEK!

See, I usually go the bob option, but I decided that I should be adventurous and risky for a change. :) I do this periodically.

I think next time, I am going to take a photo in and ask them to do it fer realz. And live with the consequences - just so I can say "well, no, that really doesn't suit me" and wander around looking awful for six months while it all grows out! :D
