the introvert's week of socialising

I've been out every night this week. I'm going out again tonight, and staying out most of tomorrow.

It's just been...draining.

Fun and wonderful and really really awesome, yes, to see sharim, and meet the Sydney CouchSurfers, and play hockey again, and go wine-tasting in Hyde Park. It's just been very emotionally and mentally and physically draining, too.

And, to add to that, I had a presentation on Friday morning on the course I did last week (it went fine), and got stressed about that. So stressed I was averaging 5 hours a night and zoning out during the day.

On the plus side, I caught up with people, met a dozen new people at last night's Sydney CS meet, and chatted with a South African on the train home. (I don't chat with strangers on the train, I prefer to block everything out and read, but I did chat! And it wasn't bad.)

But...

I want a week where I don't have to go out at all, where I can warm myself by the glow of my computer screen and be introverted and boring. Hopefully, that'll be next week.

I feel the introversion. It's fun to be around other people, but after a while, I want to find some place quiet to be by myself.
