From The Incredibles?

Edna: It will be bold! Dramatic!
Bob: Yeah!
Edna: Heroic!
Bob: Yeah. Something classic, like, like Dynaguy. Oh, he had a great look! Oh, the cape and the boots...
Edna: [throws a wadded ball of paper at Bob's head] No capes!
Bob: Isn't that my decision?
Edna: Do you remember Thunderhead? Tall, storm powers? Nice man, good with kids.
Bob: Listen, E...
Edna: November 15th of '58! All was well, another day saved, when... his cape snagged on a missile fin!
Bob: Thunderhead was not the brightest bulb...
Edna: Stratogirl! April 23rd, '57! Cape caught in a jet turbine!
Bob: E, you can't generalize about these things...
Edna: Metaman, express elevator! Dynaguy, snagged on takeoff! Splashdown, sucked into a vortex!
Edna: [shouts] No capes!

I love Edna.

Really? Who or what is in NCIS LA that reminds you of Edna?

the little woman - can't remember her name, but she reminds me ABSOLUTELY of Edna - she even does the costumes for their undercover work!

The Incredibles is my favourite Pixar film, and also one of my favourite superhero movies.

According to rumour, the makers of Fantastic Four (which came out after The Incredibles) became worried that Pixar's super-team was going to trump theirs big-time, so they quickly shot more action scenes.

If that rumour is true, it's troubling - because the final version of FF was a very lacklustre affair, so what was the original version like...?

*snorts* As though more action scenes could do even a fraction of justice to the humour and sly prodding of The Incredibles!

Honestly, sooner or later, someone's going to realise that it's not just BIG BADDA BOOM that puts bums on seats and has people coming back to watch a second, third, or even fourth time, but the characters and the humour and the way they intersect...

...And they are going to make MEGABUCKS.

(That's what I keep telling myself, anyway. Although I doubt the studios will ever get their act together. MEH.)

I must admit that the Incredibles did really impact my writing "Blaze of Glory"...

I mean, who can't love the scene with the "testing" slide ride?

:D

"Stupid, skinny little stick figures with poofy lips, who think only of themselves. I used to design for GODS! But perhaps you have come with a challenge, eh?"
