battlestar sonatica

Acquired the sheet music to the battlestar sonatica. Going to try to learn it - I haven't learned anything new in years now. I stopped piano lessons half a lifetime ago and didn't bother to keep going afterwards.

Um. Christmas cards: still not sent out. Sorry people, they're going to be New Years' cards instead.

40C yesterday - ridiculously hot until we had a crashing storm break over Sydney. Lovely rolling thunder, pounding rain, but it left us with a 20C day today. Too damn cold for this time of year!

I just hope it suns up before Sunday, when I'm supposed to be having a group of hockey girls over for a BBQ. About 28-30C would be perfect.

This weekend: Saturday arvy gym (weights), Sunday morning gym (dance), Glee, Sanctuary, Merlin, and yuletide. The last especially. Ping me if you're any of the people I watch those shows with, though! I can watch at least a couple of eps each.

Oh, and anyone read Ann Maxwell's Fire Dancer series? I'm gonna need a beta for my yuletide fic. It's not going to be long. (I say that now.)

Next weekend (Boxing Day): highlights of Doctor Who, season 1-4, c/o some friends with the eps. Must find out if the parentals will let me use their house. A/C, big space, sound system...

PS. Any Sydneysiders (Australiansiders?) able to go to Mudgee in the 1st week of Jan? Would like to go, but would prefer to go with others.
