Saturday, I bought a put-together unit that I'm going to use as a wardrobe - it's got clothes rails and hooks and everything! Or will, once I get the necessary parts! I also finished off the units of my most recent wedding quilt for a couple who got married in December last year. My quilts usually turn up as 1st anniversary presents, because I'm lazy that way and it goes in fits and spurts.

Sunday: Two short games of hockey played in 35C heat - twenty-five minutes each. One very tired and lightly sunburned Sel.
Our first game was a bit of a shambles; many of us were in new positions and we were working out what to do and where to go. Plus, 35C heat! (90F for those too lazy to convert.)And then playing in the sun! Plus, trying to work out where I had to be and what I had to do. Have discovered I don't play half-back very well. I don't know where to run, how to get back as far as I have to get back. I'm better (stronger) at inner, which is what I played for the 2nd game. And we won that one. Admittedly, that was against the club's other team in our grade, who came up from the grade below us last year.
We're playing them again this weekend. For reals, this time.
I think I'm going to have to take up jogging 1st thing in the morning, or at lunchtimes to get the fitness up for hockey. If I'm going to be playing half-back, I really need to be able to last the game. Right now, I'm not sure I could.

This morning, got out the door a few minutes late. Traffic after 7am gets exponentially worse with each minute that passes, and by 7:30, the major road my street runs off is pretty much a carpark.
Got halfway up the driveway and realised that the great *CRACK* I heard last night was a tree coming down across the driveway we share with the neighbours. And that the neighbour down the end (with a 4WD and a chainsaw) just drove over it and left it there for someone else to clean up. Bastard. (The same people who had the lovely husky that they cooped up in an 8x2m yard and which the RSPCA finally came around and took.)
I ended up having to saw the damn thing in half myself and drag it to the side of the driveway so I could get past. *grr*
Not exactly a stellar start to the week.
One concert tonight. Invited a work colleague to go with. He enjoyed it and we grabbed some dinner afterwards. (He's a contractor over from the US, so he has dinner allowance and he covered it. YAY for corporate accounts!)
I'm not going to bother finishing the 20 minutes of writing I was planning to do. Bedtime.
