odds and ends

Second last day here in Sacramento: where does the time go? One week more here on holiday, then homeward-ho! It's been a lovely experience, and so much fun to catch up with people, but on the tail end of such trips, I always find myself longing for home again. *hums 'I Still Call Australia home'*

Have been struck by two new original fiction bunnies in the last couple of weeks, made notes, trying to work out what to do with them and where to take them. Hate it.

On the other hand, created 10 BSG icons yesterday. Will get them up when I find a reasonable connection.

- arabel, the live drawing class on mondays sounds wonderful - if I'm in Sydney at the time. Goth dress looks nice. One of these days you're going to have to show me how you actually do that and make it look nice.
- suds_from_aus, I'd love to hear about how the 'hijab' wearing went. Did you actually experience discrimination while wearing it, or were your comments from more general observation?

And I have to admit that venom69's query to her f-list is one I occasionally have myself. Why do you have me friended? Fic? Opinions? We've met/spoken/chatted? Fangirl/boy?

Right. I'm off. I have a couple of eps of MacGyver to watch (okay, maybe just the pilot - any recs for Season 1 Mac eps?), plus 'Tok'ra II' and 'It's Good To Be King'. 'Affinity' optional. Very optional, I think.

It's mostly on the yahoolists, but if you would like to join in and you're not on the lists, then mailing doxymom would probably be okay.

Sign-ups: from now until Friday, 2 September.

What to bring: Two plotbunnies for John and Teyla that you want to see written. If you don't have any, don't worry, I have a barn full.

Assignments: by Monday, 5 September, you will be sent 2 plotbunnies. You may write either story or both, it doesn't matter. If you simply cannot stand to write one, let Anna know and I'll try to shuffle the bunnies around.

When the story needs to be done: By October 1, please.

How long should the story be? 500 words or more. Hey, that's only two handwritten pages.

Rating: For the JohnTeyla list PG-13. For the STFever list anything up to and including NC-17. Ratings are for the plotbunnies and the stories. So, your plotbunny on JT cannot be to write a steamy sex scene, sorry.

And I don't see why the requests necessarily have to be sex or sexual. UST or friendship should be fine.
