adelaide - arrival

So, arrived in Adelaide last night. It felt like the trip took hours for some reason, and I was never so glad as to reach my hotel room last night and just collapse.

I have internet at work, but the room internet is excruciatingly expensive - $13 an hour, and $25 for a day. *shudders*

So my ability to respond to just about anything on LJ is going to be hampered by this.

The warehouse here is a lot quieter - at least it seems that way in the morning. Apparently Tuesday is going to be a big day, and they never get out of here before 8pm. Although they start later at least: 8:30am instead of 7:30am. Still, I can see it's going to be a long week.

So far, things seem to be quiet. Famous last words!

It's 4pm already!

I don't know if it's a sign of my state of mind over the last week and the really long hours I've been working but 4pm comes with nary a whisper anymore.

I just helped receive a shipment back from one of our customers, though. Helped sort through the problems inch by inch until we had it all clear. We think that the missing three items were 'consumed' (we send about 200 products out to a customer in a shipment, they use about 4-5 items, and return the rest, we bill them for the 4-5 items they use) but it's hard to tell. Hopefully...

Anyway, at least I feel like I did something useful today. Otherwise I haven't been quite as much help as I hoped to be. :/
